I am delighted to be able to advertise our services and stock. We have always offered our clients advice in buying and selling, but over the last five years we have come to specialise in personally guiding them through the labyrinthine selling process, be it by auction or private sale, be it a single item, collection or estate.

 

The expertise, logistical know how and legal understanding required to disperse a large collection are very often underestimated, yet without them, problems frequently occur down the line. (The accumulative, additional charges on top of the vendor’s commission following an auction, for example, which only come to light once the Settlement Statement arrives.) What we do is consolidate a consignment, negotiate the best possible deal for the client, communicate with the various experts and supervise the whole process through to completion.

 

Together we have over 50 years’ experience in the art business and a vast list of specialist contacts. This combination means that as well as guiding clients through the complexities of the selling process, we can help answer myriad art and antique requests from clients, such as the listing and valuation of contents, advise on restoration and conservation, picture hanging and so on. We also offer some of our own stock which can be viewed in our 'Antiques’ pages.
